Visit <a href=\"https://www.homewoodlivingministries.com/careers/benefits\">Homewood Benefits</a> for all the details.<br><br><b>Job Summary:</b><br>Assists in the operation of the Dietary Department in a specific area or for the overall department.<br><br><b>Essential Functions:</b> <li>Treats all information about residents, their condition, and family as well as personnel matters as confidential information.</li><li>Complies with established Corporate and Departmental policies and procedures, and maintains established standards and practices.</li><li>Assists in writing cycle menus, diet modifications, dietary assessments, and care plans.</li><li>Ensures accurateand timely updates to daily menus within the Volante system.</li><li>Assists in administrative functions of the department.</li><li>Assists in supervising and the orientation of co-workers.</li><li>Assists in planning and set-up of special functions.</li><li>Assists in ordering, receiving, and inventory control of supplies and equipment.</li><li>Maintains compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing the handling and storage of food, food supplies, equipment, and work environment.</li><li>Performs other functions as directed by the supervisor.</li> <br><b>Qualifications:</b> <li>High school or equivalent graduate with a completion of a dietary program such as certified dietary manager or culinary arts program.</li><li>Ability to relate and communicate with co-workers, residents, and the public in a friendly and professional manner.</li><li>Displays initiative and motivation.</li><li>Standing and walking short distances intermittently during an eight hour shift.</li><li>Must be able to lift and transfer 30 pounds.</li><li>Computer and clerical skills preferred.</li><li>Supervisory experience and organizational skills required.</li> <br><b>Physical Requirements:</b><br>Must be able to constantly work on their feet during an 8 hour shift; bend, stoop, twist, and turn constantly throughout the shift in performing regular duties. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds frequently throughout the shift.
